There was a common style of earring in the Georgian era called "Day to Night" which featured a detachable pendant allowing your earrings to be either a smaller, simple style or a more elaborate style featuring a matching add-on style, often in a teardrop style.

I am happy I've finally developed a method that gives a good approximation of this style that creates two excellent pairs of earrings in one!
