Premium Engineered Mesh Upper
Supplying feet with an outstanding level of breathability and comfort, the Paradigm 7s utilises a premium engineered mesh upper. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, swapping cool, fresh air with hot, muggy air providing the perfect microclimate for feet to thrive, allowing you to feel comfortable throughout the run. Lightweight and breathable allow a more streamlined, comfortable run to reduce any unwanted bulk so you maintain focus. In addition, as you start to tire, and fatigue kicks in during the longer runs, the Guiderail really starts to earn its place. The Guiderail works to keep your foot in the most natural position possible, preventing the early stages of overpronation. The Footshape fit toe box allows your toes to spread out more naturally, offering greater comfort and stability during more intense running sessions. A plush collar and tongue keep the shoes comfortable against your feet and help to prevent irritation or abrasion from occurring. Lastly, a ghillie lacing system locks down the midfoot to ensure you have a secure fit, providing you confidence with every stride. The laces provide a nice snug and locked-in fit which in turn prevents any in-shoe slipping that can occur during high-intensity activities.
Altra EGO MAX Midsole
The midsole is made from Altra's most cushioned foam yet, the Altra EGO MAX. With a generous and soft feel, it reduces pressure on your joints as you strike the hard surface of the road. Extremely durable and responsive, this midsole provides you with all the cushioning you need for the longest of runs keeping you comfortable from the first mile to the last. The original Footshape technology has a wider toe box, therefore, allowing you to splay your toes for a more natural fit and feel when running on any surface. Every Altra shoe features the Zero Drop Platform that places the heel and forefoot the same distance from the ground for natural alignment and a low-impact landing.
FootPod Technology Outsole
The Paradigm 7 features an outsole technology that actually maps the bones and tendons of your foot to help it bend and move naturally. Furthermore, the outsole offers Stabilipod technology that acts as a stabilising tripod by enhancing the three natural stability zones in your foot to help prevent excessive foot collapse or pronation. Lastly, the outsole offers a durable rubber compound that enhances durability as well as traction, perfect for getting the best performance when road running.
