The perfect shoe for when you've got a swap meet to attend but you're living on a ranch in Wyoming...
The Air Max 1 channels a bit of flavour with the latest "Escape" version – not to be confused with the '92 ACG model – brings outdoor vibes to the iconic runner. The mesh uppers combine a rough suede mudguard with smooth nubuck and leather accents for a trio of materials that echo what was kicking around the outdoor catalogue around the time that the Air Max 1 released in 1986.
Easily the most distinct feature is the tree-line embroidered into the heel panel of both shoes. The tall silhouettes resemble the type of forests which populate the grounds of Nike's famed office in Portland, Oregon. The reflective threads through the laces add a nice outdoorsy touch as well.
